SNOWY MOUNTAINS MEGA CRUISE 2010

Ok guys multi state meets have been talked about before but nothings ever really come of it, so I'm looking to organise one. It will be not only a multi state but multi forum meet to try to get some really good numbers.

This will be probly appeal more to NSW/ACT/VIC members more than our SA, WA and QLD bretherin due to the distances that would need to be traveled by them. The initial meet point I have in mind is cabbramurra which happens to be almost smack bang between Melbourne and Sydney(about 500km from each). In order to make this happen its going to require support and participation from 'YOU' the members.

As for when its going to happen I'm looking at the last weekend in october being the 30th and 31st. Due to the distances being travelled this suits a weekend trip the best, from what I've seen so far accomodation seems to be fairly resonable at that time of year with the ski season being over.

Above is an idea for an initial route just to get there, I'd also be looking at doing mini cruises on the saturday arvo and on the sunday morning before we all head home.

So c'mon guys and girls show some support and lets get this thing off the ground. Who know somebody from this mag might even tag along for the weekend and get some pics.

I realise the time may not be ideal for everybody, to have it earlier would mean it would have to be in early-mid september which would possibly put us in the snow. The latest I can see this being viable would be the second weekend in november before christmas partys and the like start.

I'll open the floor to a change of date with a choice of 3 weekends, but once the decision is made it will be final. Put your name under any or all of the dates that suit you. Votes will be taken untill 12 midnight on 2/3/10, anything posted after that wont be counted!

Sorry to sound like a control freak but this sort of thing can drag on for months and ruin it for everybody, dont forget this is being run over multiple forums so it wont just be the votes you see that will make the decision.

Make a date!
Not everyone is going to be free, and Where are you going to cruise to? What about Adaminaby, there is reasonable motels there, or Jindabyne, Just a thought, once you have it sort of sorted, I can post it on the Mustang owners club and American muscle car club forum too, It mite turn out bigger than ben wats his name.

top stuff, the date will be set early march. This early in the game its a bit of an unknown quantity, we could get 10 cars or we could get 110(which would be better) suggestions for towns with plenty of accomodation would be excellent.

ok guys the date has been settled, it will be held on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of november 2010.

Unless somebody can come up with a better town to stay in I'm suggesting jindabyne, I'll take suggestions until 31/3/10. so list em below.
