1. ADVERTISING

1.1 No commercial/business advertising is permitted. This forum has paying commercial sponsors so if anyone feels the need to promote their business then it is best to contact us about advertising space.

1.1a If you have a problem with a particular company DO NOT post it up on the forum at all. This can be construed as slander and become a legal concern. There are two sides to every story and without the other person’s view it is not fair to post your issues.

1.1b You may link to other businesses or car websites in posts, if it is relevant to the topic at hand. This is not an invitation to promote something purely because they have previously done it for you. If someone is looking for a specific item then you may post a link or contact number. This can also be done using the PM system. Other than that refer to rule 1.1

1.2 No links to other forums are permitted in signatures without the prior consent of the admin team (But personal vehicle sites are allowed and encouraged). If you have pics of your car posted on another forum then you may post a direct link to that pic but not the forum.

2. AVATARS

2.1 Avatars must not contain nudity or profanity. Avatars deemed offensive will be removed. If complaints are received regarding Avatars from forum users and deemed inappropriate or offensive by the admin team they will be removed. If the avatar reappears, you may be banned.

3. PORNOGRAPHY

3.1 Most companies now monitor their employee’s internet usage for signs of access to pornography. As we have no desire to cause inadvertent trouble for any of our users, links to porn sites or the posting of pornographic pictures are not allowed. If you link to offensive websites, you WILL be banned, without warning.

3.2 Pornographic and offensive avatars are discussed in section 2.1.

4. ABUSE

4.1 Abusing or threatening other forum members will NOT be tolerated (doing so will result in an instant ban!).

4.2 Abusing the forum through spamming will not be tolerated and also incurs an instant ban.

4.3 Anyone found to be deliberately provoking people in other forums to cause trouble in here will be permanently banned. There is always someone watching you who would be more than happy to tell us.

5. ADVICE FOR NEWBIE’S

5.1 Before posting a new thread (for technical advice etc) please do a search to make sure it hasn’t been discussed before. This will not only save embarrassment but it also saves space.

5.2 If you wish to show the world your car, please post your thread only in the THE CONCOURSE section of the forum. Preferably showing the outside, trim and engine, with a list of specs.

6. FOR SALE SECTIONS

6.1 This section is a service for the use of individual forum members only. We provide this service on the proviso that you don’t abuse it. If we catch you post whoring or blatantly selling on behalf of a business you will be banned. Exceptions to this rule are at the sole discretion of the forum administrators.

6.1a When advertising, wait until your thread has moved off the first page (at the forum default setting) before reposting.

6.1b When posting your item for sale or wanted to buy in the SELL, SHOP & SWAP section, state either ‘FS’ or ‘WTB’ in the subject heading of your thread.

6.2 You are unable to reply to threads in the For Sale sections. This includes your own threads. If you wish to add to your For Sale thread, you can edit your original post.

6.3 DO NOT post items for sale in any other section than the For Sale sections.

6.4 You can’t sell more than one of the same item, unless it is discussed with ADMIN or MODS first. This will be deemed as a company conducting business on this forum, which attracts a ban.

6.5 If an individual continually posts numerous different items in the sales section then we will assume that they are working from home selling parts or obtaining them in a suspect manor. Either way this is unacceptable and will be dealt with.

6.6 There are no EOI (Expressions Of Interest), you’re either selling it or you aren’t. If you want to auction something then put it on EBAY. Any posts without pricing will be advised of such and then removed a few hours later if no price is put up.

6.7 Purchasing items from this forum is at your own risk. While 990f people don’t have a problem at all there is always someone who is going to take advantage of this. If you are having trouble with a purchase from another member please contact us straight away and we will try and help but as we have stated - it is at your own risk!

6.8 If there are any legal issues arising from a sale or purchase of an item from this forum then we will hand over every piece of information to the authorities so the matter can be dealt with – no exceptions.

6.9 A word of advise, if you are buying something from someone get every aspect of the purchase in detail and try to do it through a proper email address (ie: not hotmail or yahoo accounts).

7. MEETS & CRUISES

7.1 You may post cruises, dyno days and get-togethers in this section. You may also post the highlights from said cruises, dyno days and gatherings.

7.2 Car Clubs (Ford related) may post details of their cruises and Dyno Days, however you must abide by section 1.2

8. PRIVATE MESSAGES

8.1 The Private Message system is not an invitation to abuse or SPAM other forum members out of the public eye. Offenders will have their PM privileges removed or be banned depending on the breach.

8.2 If you feel you have been spammed via PM on this forum report it to Admin immediately so he can take steps.

9. BANNING

9.1 If there is an issue with someone and they get banned for a minor offence it will probably be for a few days or a week at first. Each consecutive banning will result in an extension of your previous ban time.

9.2 We work on the three strikes rule. If you get banned, for whatever reason or whatever length of time, it will only happen three times before it’s permanent.

10. COMMON SENSE

10.1 Some of these rules may sound harsh but in fact are very easy to follow – simply act like an adult. We don’t like to play the heavy any more than you like to be heavied, so just treat everyone else on here as you’d like to be treated and there will be no problems.

10.2 As we said at the start, if you don’t wish to follow any of these rules then simply email admin and your account will be removed.

11. MODS & ADMIN

11.1 The moderators are here to make sure things are kept under control, so that everyone can enjoy themselves while viewing the forums – they are not here to be abused. If you have an issue with one of them DO NOT argue in the public forums. PM Admin with all the info and allow him to attempt to sort the issue out.
